Woodi invests in domestic manufacturing

Kuopion Woodi Oy is investing in a new furniture factory, which will be put into operation in stages by April 2026.

The new factory will be approximately three times larger than the current premises, and will bring together all of Wood's production, design and sales under one roof.

Wood's products are manufactured in Finland from start to finish, combining solid wood and local craftsmanship. The company's furniture is a highly refined product that represents sustainable, high-quality domestic expertise in export.

"We believe that the best products are created where people know the material, know their job and trust each other. The new factory is a promise that our expertise will be maintained and developed in the future," says Wood's CEO. Mika Rissanen.

Woodi, which is over 30 years old, is today one of the few success stories in the domestic furniture industry. While many are moving production out of Finland, Woodi is doing the opposite. The new factory investment enables the next phase of growth: the goal is a turnover of 30 million euros and 100 employees by 2030.

The greatest growth is sought in Central Europe, where Germany is the main market. At the same time, Woodi maintains its strong position in its domestic market, where sustainable furniture is increasingly a key part of public spaces.
