To the roots of forest knowledge

The Roots in the Soil of Knowledge project will offer forest owners free expert evenings, field training, webinars and online materials in different parts of Finland in 2026–2027. The goal is to provide them with the skills to strengthen the growth, vitality and climate resilience of their own forests.

Tapio and the Finnish Forest Centre have launched a national training series for forest owners on strengthening the growth and vitality of forests.

Forest owners have a lot of choice when making decisions about the management and processing of their forests. However, comparing and visualizing the impacts far into the future can be difficult. How can you ensure that the economic value of the forest, the well-being of nature and the vitality of the forest in a changing climate are increased in line with your own goals?

The new project brings the latest research and expert knowledge to forest owners in a practical format. When forest owners identify their options, it is easier to actively discuss them with forest professionals.
