The transaction between Metsä Board and Konvertia Group for the Winschoten sheeting and distribution center has been completed. The acquisition strengthens Metsä Board's sheeting capacity in Europe.
With the completion of the transaction, Metsä Board will begin the integration of the Winschoten center into its European operations by harmonizing production, logistics and customer service processes. Europe is Metsä Board's most important growth market and the integration supports the company's goal to serve customers more flexibly and faster.
The Winschoten sheeting and distribution center is one of the largest and most modern units in Europe, with an annual capacity of approximately 100,000 tons. It currently employs 22 people. The parties did not disclose the purchase price.
