The new production structure under construction is no longer about traditional value chains. "Rather, it is about extensive value networks. For example, in the forest industry, new wood fiber-based textiles and bio-based solutions that replace minerals can be found across industries, and the overall solutions combine many industries," says Ulla Heinonen.
