When it comes to purchasing chemicals for the forest industry, price is only one part of the equation. Wibax Sales Director Ilkka Hirvelä emphasizes that real value comes from a deep understanding of the customer's processes.

At the same time, the proportion of road transport remains short, which is the most sensible solution both economically and ecologically," emphasizes Hammarberg.
Electrification is a major revolution in logistics
Wibax's promise of sustainability is concretely visible on the roads. Logistics Director Juha Rissanen ensures that the company's goal — 100% fossil-free and electric fleet by 2030 — progresses on schedule.
“In May 2025, the first fully electric heavy ADR combination was delivered to Finnish roads, and the goal is to increase the number of electric vehicles annually,” says Rissanen.
Although the 24/7 rhythm of the forest industry, heavy loads and the geography of Finland pose challenges for electric vehicles, the solution lies in a smart approach. When raw materials are brought close to the customer by ship, driving distances are shortened to suit electric trucks.
This not only streamlines logistics, but also offers Wibax customers a direct way to reduce the carbon footprint of their own value chain.
"In industrial driving, efficiency comes from utilizing loading and unloading times for charging. We are ready to invest in charging technology at our customers' locations as well," promises Rissanen.
