Lavlier is a Finnish cosmetics brand founded in 2023, which has developed a manufacturing method that replaces the traditional multi-stage and energy-intensive manufacturing process of cosmetic products with a completely new approach. At the heart of the method is a product base made from cellulose, which simplifies the manufacturing process and requires less chemicals and energy. At best, the new cosmetic and hygiene products, which contain up to 80% fewer chemicals, reduce manufacturing costs and reduce environmental impacts and chemical exposure without compromising on effectiveness, shelf life or a luxurious user experience.
The cellulose base acts as a preservative, stabilizer and texture enhancer at the same time – without the long list of chemicals traditionally found in cosmetic ingredient lists. This enables unprecedentedly clean, biodegradable and skin-friendly cosmetics, where the technology remains invisible but is felt on the skin.

Lavliér – forest cosmetics for a new era
Lavliér launched its first cosmetics in 2024, combining everyday luxury with timeless, understated aesthetics and innovative high-quality products. The brand is known among consumers for its aesthetics and its first innovative product, Tree Sugar Balm, which utilizes side streams from the forest industry, which has been mentioned in the media and has won awards, including at Uusi Puussa. The company's own cosmetics brand is strategically very important, generating revenue while the actual technology is still in development and serving as an irreplaceable commercialization platform for new technology.
