My vision: A model country for a green economy

"Finland has long lived off its forests, but it is not self-evident that this situation will continue. The forest sector requires considerable readiness for change and agility if it wants to maintain its strong positions. These characteristics may not be so characteristic of the forest sector, but they will inevitably be needed in the future. If the forest sector is able to change over time, Finland may well live off its forests well into the future."

In my vision, Finland is a model country and a pioneer in a green economy and low-carbon society. Finnish forests and forest sector actors play a central role in building this vision."
